Wednesday 11th July: DeGrey River to Goldwire Rest Area

Today was quite uneventful; we refuelled at Pardoo Roadhouse, stopped for lunch at the Sandfire Roadhouse all the while enjoying the 2 types of wattle which lined the road for most of the trip.  I do believe in a month or so the wildflowers will be amazing!  We arrived at the Goldwire Rest Area early afternoon and this time had out pick of the best spots.  Derick backed the van into a shady camp site and I walked around the  rest area taking photos of the wildflowers, mainly the wattle and an orange ‘grevillea like’ flower which was quite spectacular once in full bloom.
