7th January: Perth to Adelaide

We left home at 5:45am to reach Sean and Mel’s by 6:15am, which we did.  The trip to the airport and flight to Adelaide was uneventful.  Checked into the Rockford Hotel on Hindley Street, and then went for a walk to Rundle Mall, through Adelaide Arcade in 38°C heat.  Enjoyed a coffee at Gloria Jeans, bought some water and dispensed my prescription for eye drops (Chlorsig).  We sat in the hotel cafe/bar, me enjoying a Wicks Chardonnay and Derick a beer; while there we booked for dinner at Spice Restaurant in the Hotel for 7pm.

Dinner was delicious:

Starters we shared dips – beetroot and capsicum with lavosh bread.

Mains – King George Whiting, Bugs with vegetables

Wine – Wicks Sauvignon Blanc

Just a wonderful start to our holiday:)
