Today we travelled from Dawson City to Whitehorse experiencing the vast expanse of Yukon wilderness, travelling alongside the Tintina Trench,

We spent the morning at leisure in Denali before transferring to the rail depot in the late afternoon to board the McKinley Explorer, for our 4 hour rail journey to the frontier town of Fairbanks.
1st and 2nd July 2013: McKinley Explorer to Denali
Bright and early this morning we transferred to the rail depot where we boarded the McKinley Explorer glass-domed train carriage for our 8 hour rail journey to Denali National Park. Encompassing an amazing six million acres, the Park is home to Mt McKinley, North America’s highest peak, and an array of wildlife.
