3rd and 4th October 2013: New Norcia

New Norcia was next and what a beautiful experience, being the only monastic town in Australia, the ambiance was so serene.  The Benedictine Monks own and run the town which consists of their monastery, accommodation house, hotel, two boarding schools accommodation buildings and associated chapels, school rooms, conference centre, library, museum, art gallery and gift shop.

1st-2nd October 2013: Coalseam Conservation Park and Dalwallinu

Staying an additional night in Geraldton  meant we could only stay at Coalseam Conservation Park one night, which turned out to be a blessing as my hayfever was dreadful and the wild flowers had all by finished flowering.

28th-30th September 2013: Geraldton

Saturday morning we headed to Geraldton for 2 nights staying in the caravan park at Sunset Beach on the mouth of the Chapman River.  We had a grass site in a very quiet section of the park, just wonderful :).  I watched the Dockers lose the AFL football Grand Final by 19 points, so close yet so far away.  We visited the HMAS Sydney Memorial, the Greenough River mouth, port facility and Derick’s old homes.  We enjoyed our stay so much we booked an extra night.

26th-27th September 2013: North Cliff Head

Derick and I have decided to spend 10 days caravaning through Western Australian wildflower country.  We left home on the 26th September, visiting Alan and Gail on our way to North Cliff Head, one of our favourite free campsites. We stayed here for 2 glorious nights, relaxed, took photos and met fellow travelers.
