10th April to 18th April: Potters Gorge, Margaret River, Bridgetown and Hyden

After a very stressful 10 days of work we left home at 9am on the 10th April heading south to check out a campsite named Potters Gorge, which is located on Wellington Dam.  We had been meaning to visit for some time and have finally got around to it!

The drive from home to the main campsite took about 2 hours and when we arrived the area was filled with caravans, campervans and about 60 two-man tents. A school bus parked nearby announced that we had arrived during a school camp week.  Not to be deterred Derick wandered around the area finding a more secluded campsite nearby with just one other caravan already camped up.  How fortunate were we?  Derick backed the van into the roomy spot, we set up house and while we had bush directly in front of us to the left was a stunning view of the water looking towards the Dam wall.
