Another overcast, windy day, still in jeans, windcheaters, we left Carnarvon around 10ish, too caught talking to neighbours instead of packing up!
It was a fairly uneventful morning, refuelled at Minilya Roadhouse then on to our camp for the night at Lyndon River free campsite. We were the first van in; found a great spot to park with table, chairs and fire pit, set up and organised lunch. Wasn’t long before another van arrived and then a motorhome, very quickly there were 10 of us parked up for the night.
Our stay a Cliff Head North was wonderful; very relaxing with time just to sit and ponder. Which I did!
We left Cliff Head around 9.30ish heading for Port Denison where we refilled the water tanks for 40c. Next stop was the Dongara dump point.
Monday morning, the car battery is dead, which is a good thing as we had planned to free camp the first 4 days of our adventure. So Derick attached the battery charger while we walked to Spill the Beans for breakfast. Once back home the car did start so we hooked on the van, then headed directly to the battery store for a replacement.
